About Us
The Round Rock Fencing Club was founded on July 1, 1986, by Prevot d’ Armes Gary Murray Sr. The club is now an LLC Partnership with Coach Alan Uthoff and Coach Peter Kaskan as our new partners.
The club is not based only on winning. Although we don't push winning, of course, we want to win, but winning is a bonus. There is never any pressure to get a fencer to compete in tournaments. It has to be the fencer's desire, not a requirement. It's not win or lose here, it is win or learn. It takes time to master the elements and become proficient, so we teach patience and diligence.
We offer beginner, intermediate, and competitive programs for Foil, Epee, and Sabre. We also offer online one-on-one lessons as well as In-Person One On One Lessons. Our coaches are experienced and certified through the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA).
Our primary location is at the Brushy Creek Community Center in Round Rock and our secondary location is at the Lakeway Activity Center in Lakeway. You can register in person, online, or by phone. Even if you or your child have never fenced, come in for a free introductory lesson, and then if you like it you can register. All equipment is provided for beginning students.
